Zhuang Hong Yi – RAW II – at Unit London.

By on 1st May 2017

Unit London welcomes Zhuang Hong Yi back to the capital for RAW II.

The natural follow up to his successful 2015 exhibition, this new body of work comes alive in a flourish of iridescent light and colour.

Taking inspiration from the natural world, as well as reflecting the increased urbanisation of his home country China, Zhuang Hong Yi folds, sprays and paints to create a vibrant new world.

From heavily sculpted acrylic to thousands of folded origami rice-paper flowers, these works leap of the wall and challenge the observer to view from multiple vantage points, each step offering a totally different spectrum of colour and texture.

No amount of images can do these mesmerising and impactful pieces justice, we were just fortunate enough to experience this captivating artists work first hand.

Exhibition ran from : 24 March – 14 April 2017
